The central case of the mechanism is a crucial part of the uPVC door and is a part often seen to fail, if the centre case has failed, it could mean the cam has broken away, this is the part that the spindle for the handle goes through to drive the hooks in and out when the handle is pushed up or down. With the centre case being a part that fails regularly and often having to replace for customers in Nottingham, we are extremely familiar with identifying mechanism failures with the ability to provide a quick hassle-free quotation. We provide a generous 5 year warranty on all uPVC door replacement parts and whilst we carry out the repairs our trained engineers will naturally make adjustments to the alignment after all repairs are carried out to ensure it's functioning correctly like a new door. I was thinking about timing too. But if mr closs heard a kick he certainly would head towards his firearms don’t you think? Or maybe to tell Jayme and Mrs. Closs to hide and then go towards the firearms all which could be done fairly quickly especially with the adrenaline of being scared. If i heard someone kicking at my door I would make sure I was armed before going to investigate. The only reason I can think of that he would head towards the door is if he knew who was there, or was already near the front door trying to get them to leave. Him being shot near the front door with no firearm, no evidence (that has been shared yet at least) that he was trying to get to his guns is very strange.
You make a great deal of sense, but I don't see how this explains him being found near the front door. The door was either kicked or shot in or both. You wouldn't run toward a door that was just forcefully opened in the middle of the night, without a firearm in hand. And if James was answering a knock at the door that he didn't perceive to be threatening, wouldn't there be time enough, after it became threatening, to at least take several steps away from the door?
