Remove the clamps. Scrape off any residual dried glue, using the side of the putty knife. Clean the mortise with the end of the putty knife. If it has become distorted, use a chisel to clean and cut the edges of the mortise so the striker plate fits into it as before, with the hole in the plate centered over the hole in the jamb. Screw on the striker plate.

I’m wondering if perp knocked, Jim heard, started walking to the door to see who it was, perp could tell he was coming and shot through the door. Jim was down and the perp kicked the door in to gain entry and shot jim again. This had woken up jayme and her mom, who both ran into the bathroom to hide where there was a door with a lock and with the cell phone. The perp broke thru the door, saw the phone, killed Denise and grabbed jayme. 911 call you can hear only the fear/breathing/screaming/muffled before the perp hung it up and fled with jayme.
Quick installation and affordable pricing make timber boarding up a firm favourite when it comes to protecting a premises for a short period of time; for any longer projects it would be worth considering the benefits of steel screens. These galvanized screens offer added protection due to the increased strength of steel over timber and will stand up much better to wet weather, which will weaken timber boarding over time.
We don't know what the situation was in that house or what the situation was with their guns. The mother and daughter might have had some familiarity with guns but that doesn't mean they would know what to do in a panic situation. Guns are something that have to be almost an automatic conditioned response for someone to be really comfortable using them in an emergency. That takes many hours at the range. Preferably hundreds of hours of shooting. At least dozens of hours. Most women aren't that interested in them to put in that kind of time with them. Frankly they bore me and I go to the range because my SO drags me there and makes me practice sometimes.

I wanted to contact you to let you know what a great job Steve has done on my windows. From new double glazing to beautiful stained glass front door panels, he couldn't have been more helpful and easy to work with, giving good advice, not promising anything he couldn't guarantee to deliver, and going out of his way to make sure what he did deliver was good. Very friendly and reliable too. I have, recommended him to my friends. Thank you Steve.
I had not really thought about this detail until now. Didn’t think twice about a kicked in door, it doesn’t seem out of place in a crime, just something you kind of read through. However, do we think that the perpetrator kicked in the door for an element of surprise? (I think that is with most cases) Or possibly that they knew the family would not let them in/already tried knocking/ringing the bell and the family went to hide because they knew who the perp was. The only reason I see the perp killing the parents IF this was only about Jayme (which I do not know how I feel about that), is if they could recognize/name him. Most of children that are kidnapped, their parents are left completely fine. Or if they DIDNT know the perp, the perp had a reason to be very angry with the parents. I still do not know what I think fully about this case. I’ve read everything on r/JaymeCloss but would love to hear any and all opinions/theories. This is my first post ever sorry if it rambles on.

We are very proud of the fact that we are the oldest locksmiths Nottingham founded and still operating in the city. Originally the business was created as Lock & Safe Radford and operated out of a small workshop behind the family home on Radford Blvd in the heart of Nottingham. During this period of time Radford was a thriving working class area with a factory on every corner including famous sites like Players Cigarettes & Rayleigh Bicycles and the family business thrived providing and maintaining secure locks for factory gates and doors and safes and lock rooms for the workers wages to be stored and payed out from. In the late 1970's the business had out grown the humble workshop and a dedicated shop, workshop and warehouse was opened just down the blvd in Lenton in a purpose built modern unit. At this point in time the business had changed, the focus on safes and there maintenance and supply had now gone. Modern banking saw workers payed direct into bank accounts and not the beloved brown envelopes they used to collect in person and most of the factory's had now closed or had moved production out of the area so the name changed and become LS Locksmiths Nottingham to indicate we were more then just lock and safe people but that we encompassed the whole security side for both commercial and domestic customers during this time the Nottingham locksmiths were in the hands of two second generation locksmith brothers. With the advent of the internet the business saw the foresight of being able to offer products, services and even training online and LockSmart was born, in keeping with the original Nottingham locksmiths name the L & S stands out proud. LockSmart Locksmiths is LS Locksmiths just like it was once Lock & Key Radford always evolving but keeping one thing the same... we will always offer the customer the best service at the very best price that's why we've lasted so long and are the oldest locksmith Nottingham.

For problems with the hinges or latches, you can buy such parts and easily screw them in. For dents or wooden damage to the frame, you can bring in new pieces of the same wood and glue them to the existing door frame. Ideally, you shouldn’t repair and replace bits and pieces of the door frame. It is best to replace entire strips of the door frame to ensure optimum sturdiness and security. If there are holes or incursions then you can fill them up with a material of your choice. You can use plies for the wood and cement for the walls.
In the event of a burglary or vandalism it's extremely common for windows to become a target, in most cases getting smashed or become shattered from an attempt, this is usually the case for commercial premises whether it be a large retail store on the high street or small business premises, though it's certainly not uncommon for a residential property to also experience the same. These type of incidents tend to happen out of hours during the night, it's advised to get the window boarded up by a professional as soon as possible to prevent access to the premises through the broken window, once the window has been boarded up professionally this will allow peace of mind until it can be arranged to replace the glass pane and repair any further damage caused in the incident.
You make a great deal of sense, but I don't see how this explains him being found near the front door. The door was either kicked or shot in or both. You wouldn't run toward a door that was just forcefully opened in the middle of the night, without a firearm in hand. And if James was answering a knock at the door that he didn't perceive to be threatening, wouldn't there be time enough, after it became threatening, to at least take several steps away from the door?
