Here at Locksmith Nottingham we only use locks up to the British standards set by the British Standards Institute, this is because if we replace someone’s lock with a lock that isn’t up to British standards it could mean they aren’t covered by their home insurance if they get burglarised. Obviously you can’t tell how good a lock is just by looking at it, that’s why the British Standards Institute have a set of tests that simulate different well known methods of breaking into the types of locks being tested. I made an appt today at 11am, left work to get home on time to meet them, and NO-ONE. I called, and talked to Russ (i think) who said (at 11:20) "we're just finishing a job and we'll be out there in 20min or so." No call to me, no communication that they were running late. I complained that if I stood up my client or showed up late for work I would be fired. "things happen" When i got a little fiesty i was told "I don't work for you" (i agree, but i believe when I am paying for a service, there is a certain expectation of quality and good communcation). Russ told me "I'll not be admonished by anyone" When I said I'll find another locksmith he said "please do!"
